Real human specimens on display at Sci-Port in Shreveport

by Katy Ray | January 27, 2012

The world-famous traveling show "Bodies Revealed" is coming to Shreveport-Bossier. 12 full body human specimens and nearly 200 organs will be on display in different galleries at Sci-Port Discovery Center beginning Jan. 28 and running through May 21. Call it macabre, call it curiousity, but I cannot wait to see this show and I know I am not alone. (At least 15 million have already seen it worldwide.)  Don't let the chance to see this …

Wood-fired margherita pizza, with the freshest, sweetest ingredients: fresh basil, ripe red tomatoes, high quality olive oil, and mozzarella cheese. A glass of red wine to accompany my simple meal is all I need to be perfectly happy when I dine at the Olive Street Bistro. For a special date night, and especially for Valentine's Day, maybe I will expand my horizons beyond pizza... but there is no need for us to choose another venue.

Steak, seafood, martinis—and snowbears!

by Katy Ray | January 09, 2012

We met over the holidays with people we only see once in a blue moon—it was a special night that called for a special place with amazing food. And that is why we chose the Village Grille in Shreveport.

The Village Grille is one of the premier restaurants in Shreveport-Bossier. Expensive, yes, but worth it for the luxurious food, excellent service, and memorable setting it provides. Inside the Village Grille, it's dark …
